This is the regular
figure for Firestorm-the variant being Jason Rusch, the new African-American
Firestorm. When the first few shots of the Firestorm prototype appeared in
the net, fans clamored for a change. And, boy, was the result fantastic! The
new head designed by the Four Horsemen is one of the best likenesses of the
Classic look of Firestorm. A wonderful touch added to the final version was
the switch to translucent plastic for the flames. Though Firestorm's
body appears to be based on a generic build, it is retooled to accurately
represent the loose sleeves and shoulder area. The sun motif is also
sculpted in. However the chest etching, upon closer inspection gives away
the fact that it is meant for the variant, Jason Rusch (who oddly enough is
the one who appears on cardbacks instead of Ronnie). For all the detail o
the top part of his body it is interesting to note that his boots are only
painted over. Overall, this figure is a must-have for DC and Firestorm fans. |
