Batman is an excellent
representation of Neil Adams' and classic artists' rendition of the shadow-cowled
Batman. This figure is being dubbed by many as the best Batman figure
to-date. The body is made unique with a capsule-type utility belt and a new
cape. The cape sits atop the shoulders a bit high and some say it makes his
neck are look larger than it should be but this is probably a mirroring in
the way the cape flows in a v-form all the way to his back in early comics,
giving the figure one more element of being classic. The figure also gets a
soft hand with a flexible grip, so as to be able to hold onto objects of
differing size. It is of note that this Batman is also a bit taller than
previous Mattel 6" releases of the same character.
The figure comes with a
single Batman grapple-gun accessory that fits on either hand. The accessory
is made of a shooter and a type of metallic batarang held together with a
string. The batarang can be removed from the shooter to use as grappler.
For discriminating Mint-On-Card collectors, please note that there are also
two packaging variants of ALL DCUC wave one figures, one that lists the
Batman figure on the back of the card as 'Crime Solver Batman' and
another that lists it as 'Classic Detective Batman'. For Batman, this
detail appears ALSO on the front of each card, serving as his label. |
