Synopsis- SPOILER ALERT!!! |
|
General
Mendenhall enlists the Freedom Fighters to infiltrate the Watchtower and
steal their computer logs, much to their disagreement. After the warm
pleasantries with the League aboard the Watchtower, The Atom discovers Doll
Man inside one of the interfaces and confronts him. Soon the leaguers in the
Watchtower and the Freedom Fighters battle it out. Later, the heroes lay low
and talk. Turns out Mendenhall was using the FF the whole time, and that the
young Mendenhall the Fighters spoke with is not the real one. |

Continuity References- |
|
The false Gen.
Mendenhall sites the 'Lexor City' incident between Superman and Capt. Marvel
(Clash), the attack on Cadmus (Divided We Fall), and the Thanagarian
Invasion (Starcrossed) as examples as to why the Justice League need
sanctioning. We also learn that The Ray from JLU is the son of the Freedom
Fighters' The Ray. Green Lantern refers to this as events of 'last year'.
References were also made to Amanda Waller, who the league still somehow
doubt even after the events of the Cadmus arc and before her tenure as
liaison (as seen in 'Epilogue'.)
Black Condor's
design is based on his earliest comic appearances and not the modern ones
wherein he sports long hair and stripped wings. |
