Real Name: Princess Diana/Diana Prince

Base of Operations: Paradise Island, Boston, Gateway City

Group Affiliation: The Super Friends, The Justice League

Powers: Wonder Woman possesses immense super strength, super speed, the ability to make others tell the truth(her unbreakable magic lasso is used as a conduit for this power), the ability to telekinetically control her magic lasso, the ability to communicate with animals, plus all of her senses are more keen than the average human. Wonder Woman also carries a variety of weapons such as the afore-mentioned magic lasso, her razor-sharp tiara, and her magic bracelets, which can deflect bullets, lasers, etc. Wonder Woman also has her Invisible Jet, which is capable of speeds beyond Mach 1, plus it is undetectable by most sources of radar.

Origin/History: Many years ago, Queen Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons of Paradise Island sculpted a young girl out of clay. Looking at the clay sculpture, Hippolyta wished that the girl were real. The Gods of Olympus heard Hippolyta’s requested and granted her wish. Not only did the Gods grant the sculpture life, but also each of them gave the young girl a gift. She was given the super strength, super speed, exceptional beauty, the ability to communicate with animals, and the power to make those of her choosing to tell the truth. The young girl was named Diana. Later in life, the Gods asked the Amazons to choose the most worthy of them to take the sacred weapons of the Gods including the unbreakable magic lasso, magic bracelets, and razor-sharp tiara, and use them to fight evil in man’s world. A contest was held to find the worthiest Amazon. Diana wanted to enter but Hippolyta forbid it. Diana then donned a mask to disguise her identity. She won the contest with ease. Taking the sacred weapons, Diana donned a costume and went to man’s world. Once there, she was dubbed “Wonder Woman” by the public. She has since spearheaded the battle for justice alongside Superman, Batman, and the rest of Earth’s heroes. Some of her major foes include: The Cheetah, Circe, Giganta, Ares The God of War, and Devastation. It should also be noted that for a time, Diana was dead and her mother Hippolyta was forced to don the Wonder Woman garb. During this time, Hippolyta journeyed back into the past to the year 1942. She soon joined the Golden Age Justice Society of America. Some of her major foes included: The Golden Age Cheetah, Clea Queen of Atlantis, The Red Panzer, and Dark Angel.

Moment of Glory: In the Super Friends episode “Wanted: The Super Friends”, Bizarro and the Cheetah has trapped all of the Super Friends in a jail cell with a device that has frozen them stiff by paralyzing their muscles. Once frozen, Bizarro sends the cell rocketing into space towards the sun. Once in space, the Super Friends are certain that they will soon meet their doom until Wonder Woman realizes that although Bizarro and Cheetah’s device has frozen her muscles, it hasn’t frozen her mind. She then uses her mind to telekinetically control her magic lasso to bend one of the rocket thrusters on the cell to steer it towards an oncoming meteor, which collides with Bizarro and Cheetah’s paralysis device, which enable the Super Friends to free themselves and fly back to Earth.

Moment of Shame: In the Super Friends episode “The World’s Deadliest Game”, the Toyman tricks Wonder Woman into one of his toy traps. She soon finds herself inside a giant ball which is part of a giant pinball game! Poor Wonder Woman is shot all over the place.
