Real Name: Dick Grayson

Powers: Robin is a superb athlete. He also posseses various hand to hand combat skills. In addition, he is a quick thinker, a top detective, and a master tactician. Robin also carries with him a utility-belt, which contains a variety of gadgets and weapons such as Batarangs, smoke-pellets, lasers, and grappling hooks.

Origin/History: Young Dick Grayson’s parents were circus acrobats. During one of their performances, criminals killed them. Bruce Wayne found out that the young Dick Grayson was now an orphan due to circumstances that mirrored his own childhood. Soon, Dick discovered that Bruce was the Batman and decided to become his partner. After intense training and discipline, Dick took on the guise of Robin The Boy Wonder. Later, after some differences came between them, Dick put some distance between himself and Bruce and decided to take on a new heroic identity as Nightwing.

Moment of Glory: In the Super Friends episode “The Final Challenge”, a powerful being known as Vartox transports several members of the Super Friends and the Legion of Doom into his dimension. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Apache Chief are pitted against Bizarro, the Riddler, the Cheetah, Black Manta, and the Scarecrow in various competitions. After being forced to go through Vartox’s trials, the Super Friends and the Legion of Doom members capture Vartox and put and end to his scheme. Just then the remaining members of the Legion of Doom show up. With the Legion at full-strength, they decide to eliminate the 5 stranded Super Friends. Just then, Robin shows up and stops the entire Legion of Doom with the Bat-Rocket’s force-field ray.

Moment of Shame: In the Super Friends’ episode “Swamp of The Living Dead”, the Legion of Doom makes a pact with an evil demon to lure the Super Friends to a swamp. Once there, the Demon will entrap the Super Friends for eternity. In the first part of the Legion’s plan, the Scarecrow disguises himself as Hawkman and lures Batman and Robin to the swamp. Once there, the Scarecrow pulls Batman into the swamp’s murky waters. Robin tries to stop the Scarecrow by pulling a Bat-rope our of his utility-belt, The Cheetah then sneaks up behind him and uses Robin’s own Bat-rope to tie him up and leaves him as helpless as his mentor.
