Characters

The Cheetah

Real Name: Priscilla Rich

Base of Operations: Mobile

Group Affiliation: Legion of Doom, Villainy Inc.

Powers: The Cheetah has no known super powers. Instead, she is fueled by adreneline and pure hatred of Wonder Woman. She is incredibly fast and agile. She also wears gloves tipped with razor-sharp claws.

Origin/History: Priscilla was a good hearted woman who suffered from a split personality disorder. After having the limelight stolen from her by Wonder Woman at a charity event, Priscilla returned to her room and had a violent mental breakdown which in turned spawned the Cheetah personality.

Moment of Glory: In the Super Friends episode “Doomsday”, the Cheetah, Black Manta, and Sinestro are sent to capture a military submarine. Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Green Lantern show up to stop the villains. The Cheetah goes berserk and runs towards Wonder Woman in an attempt to destroy her but Wonder Woman thinks fast and lowers a simple fishing net on the Cheetah stopping her dead in her tracks.

Moment of Shame: In the Super Friends episode “Trial of The Super Friends”, the Cheetah, the Scarecrow, and Brainiac are dispatched to a military base to steal Wonder Woman, Batman & Robin, and Green Lantern’s power devices as the four heroes are at the base guarding the newly developed Liquid Light. The Cheetah is the first to iniate an attack. She gets Wonder Woman alone and taunts her into trying to capture her. The Cheetah seeks to confuse Wonder Woman by using a hologram projector to make it appear than there are several of her. Wonder Woman thinks she’s outsmarted the Cheetah as she throws her magic-lasso around the one Cheetah that casts a shadow indicating that the phony hologram Cheetahs don’t cast shadows. Little does Wonder Woman realize that the one Cheetah she’s captured is actually a robot. The robot quickly blasts off and takes to the sky. Wonder Woman hangs on to her magic-lasso but is forced to let go once the Cheetah robot makes a jolting acceleration. Shortly afterwards, the Cheetah ends up retrieving Wonder Woman’s lasso from the robot and brings it back to the Legion of Doom.

Quote: “I’ll stop you Wonder Woman and the whole world will help me!”
