FIGURES and VEHICLES The Mattel 6-inch scale collection is an assortment of action figures released in three different lines, each one the evolution of its predecessor. The majority of these figures are sculpted by renowned action figure sculptors, the Four Horsemen Studios. THIRD STAGE- DC UNIVERSE CLASSICS The latest assortment of figures come under the banner DC UNIVERSE as their CLASSICS line, released alongside the FIGHTING FIGURES and ANIMATED lines. The character selection expands infinitely by now including the entire DC Universe. Each figure is unique and variants are now either comic-accurate costume alterations or new characters bearing the name of older characters such as Firestorm and Aquaman. The second line begins where the Batman line ends, by rereleasing in some way, its final wave of Scarecrow, Bane and a new Killer Croc, all of which previously unreleased in the US market. Its second wave doubles the entire line's character selection with the inclusion of Superman characters. The line also mostly does away with non -comic-accurate variants and attempts to keep most of the variants as faithful to the source as possible. The DC Superheroes line was also released alongside the Justice League Unlimited line. The first Mattel 6-inch scale line focused on Batman and included a variety of Batsuits and weapons with action feature. Throughout its waves, the Batman figures evolve in style and in play value by becoming more and more poseable. The line also features popular Bat-villains as well as Robin and Nightwing. The line is unique for its inclusion of vehicles yet to be seen in its successors.
