CJ Member Name: Darth_Ennis
Real Name: Scott
Location: New Orleans currently trapped in Sevierville TN.
Age: 34
Sex: Male
Main Customizing Interest: J:U/ DC Animated
Secondary Customizing Interest: Star Wars
Third Customizing Interest: Everything else that's not moving or on fire.
Why do you customize: To get characters that I want. It's impatience mostly.
Where do you customize: My Customising table. My freinds have affectionately named it " The Monster Garage"
When did you start customizing: I started removing the screws and switching head on my G.I.Joes when I was about 9 years old. I had the first Snake eyes in snow gear. I graduated to painting up my Secret Wars figures shortly there after. There wasn't a name for this back then, so I was pretty much known as the weird kid that painted his toys.
When do you customize: Whenever I get the time. Having no real life I'm usually customising alot.
How much time, on average, do you spend customizing each week: See above. I usually spend about an hour or 2 a night most of the time. It's pretty much what I do to relax.
How many customs have you done: Not counting G.I.Joes that I just switched parts on over the years, my last count was well over 300. I'm not kidding.
What type/brand of paint do you use: Usually I use Folkart and Apple Barrel acrylics. Or whatever I can get on sale, but always acrylics.
Have you ever bought a custom: yes. Several actually. I really liked some other peoples work.
Have you ever sold one of your customs: More than I care to think about. My customs are in several collections all over the world.
Are there any other types of customs that you have never done but would like to try: Megos. ( And I have some supplies on teh way to do jusat that, so stay tuned. )
Why did you take part in the Customizer of the Month article: Because YOU demanded it.
What lines of toys/models do you collect: Star Wars, JLU, DCD,(anything DC really) G.I.Joe (vintage and modern) Transformers, Power Ranger Megazords.
If you could give one tip to other customizers, what would it be: Take your time, it's a marathon not a sprint, the more careful you are, and more time you take, teh better your results will be. Also as long as you are happy with the results, it doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks.
What inspires you when you do a custom: I have to be in the mood to do a particular figure. If I'm not feeling the character and force myself to finish it, it will look like crap. I would rather put it to the side and do something else. Thsi way I can do it later when I can do it justice.
What is your favorite custom that you have: That would be my Jack Knight Starman even I am amazed by how well he came out. I didn't think I would do the character justice.
What custom do you feel is your best: I don't believe I have done that one yet. But if I had to choose, I wouls say my Jack Knight.
